DMCA Policy
Los Angeles Renovate (larenovate.com) upholds a strong commitment to respecting the intellectual property rights of others. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and expect our users to do the same. This policy applies to all content published on our site, including articles, images, and design inspirations related to home renovations.
We take claims of copyright infringement seriously. If you believe your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please follow the procedure outlined below.
Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
To file a valid DMCA takedown notice, you must provide written communication to our designated Copyright Agent. This notice must include specific elements as required by the DMCA. Please ensure all information is accurate and complete.
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. Include a list if multiple copyrighted works are involved.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity. Provide sufficient information to locate the material on larenovate.com, such as a specific URL.
- Your contact information: address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate. Also state that, under penalty of perjury, you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Please send your complete DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent. The correct email address for all copyright infringement claims regarding renovation content or imagery is [email protected].
Counter-Notification Process
If your content was removed due to a DMCA notice, you may submit a counter-notification. This allows you to dispute the removal. We will provide your counter-notification to the original complaining party.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location where the material appeared before its removal or access was disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material.
- Your name, address, and telephone number.
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the judicial district where your address is located (or the Northern District of California if your address is outside the United States).
- Acceptance of service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will send a copy to the original complaining party. The removed content may be restored within 10 to 14 business days. This occurs unless the copyright owner informs us they have filed a court action to restrain the alleged infringement.
